My name is Teresa DeLaRosa and I’m running to be your City Council Member for Position #4 in Anacortes.
I have raised my two children in Anacortes as a single mother in a low-income household. My family and I have experienced both economic and social adversity. I understand first hand what its like to have to choose between paying off bills and purchasing food. Having lived this experience I hope to be an advocate and a voice in government for those in similar situations and lift up people in our community from all walks of life.

My campaign is about togetherness. I have had the privilege of getting to know so many from our community during my many years working at our local grocery store. The stories, struggles and victories shared with me during this highly public facing job have informed as much about the direction of my campaign as it has my life. My vision as a council member is to work not just for, but with the people of Anacortes - to build a better future together.

Affordable Housing
All people should have access to affordable housing. As a former member of the AFC board of directors and Yes For Housing Coalition, this has been a continued priority in my work.
Protecting Our Environment
Conservation and restoration of our beautiful forest lands and the Salish Sea is of great importance for this generation and the ones to come. I will do my part to preserve and protect them.
Community Health and Resources
I know first hand the difference community support can make for the most vulnerable members of our community.
